Activating your training platform is one of the most important moments in the life of your school and, obviously, it cannot be done haphazardly. So that you do not miss any details, we recommend you to do a thorough review of all the content of your school and pay special attention to these 13 pints that we comment on below.
When you have an online school it is very important to be able to attend the needs of your students and clients. Having an email available on your platform will give greater credibility and your students will be able to contact you in case of doubts.
To add your email as contact information, you only need to access the Settings > Contact information section of your backoffice. Additionally, you can add an address and a phone number if you think it is necessary.
It is very important that your training platform is up to date with privacy and cookie policies, so you should review them before activating your school to the public.
To edit your legal policies, access the Settings > Appearance > Pages edition > Legal policies section from the Foxize Cloud backoffice.
Do not forget to also personalize the legal footnote of the form and registration email footer with the data of your organization. To manage it, you must access Settings > Registration fields.
By default, Foxize Cloud comes with an Acme demo logo, do not forget to remove it and update it with your own logo! In general, it is important to customize the appearance of your training platform with the corporate colors and your band logo according to your branding, so that people can easily recognize your school.
To update your logo and customize the corporate colors, go to the Settings > Appearance > Design section.
Remember that your logo will always appear automatically in the header of your platform, in emails and in the courses certificates. We also recommend that you add the logo and use the same corporate colors for the materials you upload, such as learning videos, exercises, or presentations. In this way, everything will be coherent and consistent with your look & feel.
Do not forget to check the texts of all the active pages of your training platform. Do not miss any Lorem ipsum!
To access the edit mode of your online school, you must go to the Settings > Appearance > Pages edition section from your backoffice. There you can access the list of all editable pages. Expand the section that interests you and, in the Actions column, click on the pencil icon to start editing the page.
In edit mode, click on the block you want to modify, and can write the text.
In case you do not want one of these pages to be visible in your school menu (and therefore, that users cannot access it), you can easily deactivate it from the Settings > Navigation section. Remember that you can also change the name of each page from this section.
From Foxize Cloud we offer you some sample templates for your automated emails, but we encourage you to personalize the texts according to the tone of your school. We also recommend that you carefully check if your school details are correct (name, contact email, etc).
To do so, access the Daily Management > Marketing > Email templates > Automated emails section, where you can edit all the texts of the emails, one by one.
A note: you will see that in some emails there are words surrounded by "###". This means that when you send the email, they will be automatically updated with the pertinent information (username, course name), so you don't need to modify these words.
Remember that you can also manage what type of automated emails will be sent from the Settings > Emailing section.
Following the look & feel of your brand, before activating your platform you should change the header image of the homepage without login, both for public and private websites.
Go to Settings > Pages edition > Home page > Home without login (Public Home) from your backoffice and click on the pencil icon in the action's column to enter the edit mode of your school and update the image.
You can find free-to-use images on websites like Unsplash, Pixabay, Freepik or Pexels.
Just as you must customize the header image of your training platform, you must also update the banner of your home with login. Banners are very useful for highlighting new courses, tests, or marketing coupon campaigns. Think that it will be the first thing your users will see when accessing the platform, so it is very important to keep it up to date.
Eliminate the banners that come by default with the Foxize Cloud trial and place your own ones by accessing the Daily Management > Marketing > Banners section from your backoffice.
Remember that banners are not responsive, so you must upload a desktop version and a mobile version of the same image. These are the measures:
Desktop: 750px wide and 330px high
Mobile: 346px wide and 152px high
By default, the Foxize Cloud trial includes sample courses, so you can see how the platform works. Do not forget to delete them before making your website public! We wouldn't want someone to sign up without wanting to.
You can do it from the Daily Management > Courses section of your backoffice.
In order for your courses to be seen in the catalogue of your training platform, do not forget to activate both the course and the edition from your backoffice.
Access the Daily Management > Courses section of your backoffice to edit your courses and editions. You just have to check the box "Active" in both cases, and it will be visible.
The images help to contextualize the courses, they can give an idea of what type of content will be found in it and attract the attention of users. Edit the photo in the Daily Management > Courses section.
You should also make sure that your teachers have a profile photo, as it will be visible in the course files. Having a photo of the teacher causes greater trust and closeness. Your teacher can update it or manage ir yourself from your backoffice in Daily Management > Users.
The trial of Foxize Cloud also has sample themes that you should remove if you are not going to use them on your platform. Also check that all categories are active so that they appear on your training platform and your users can search for courses by subject. Also, remember that you can put an image for the themes. If you use it, check that they all have their image and that they are consistent with the look & feel of your platform.
To manage the themes and sub-themes, access the Daily Management > Basic definitions > Themes / Sub-themes section from the backoffice of your platform.
In case yours is an ecommerce training platform, make sure that the payment gateways are well integrated with Foxize Cloud. Check the codes and information they ask for, and contact your bank if necessary.
To manage your schintegrations, go to the Settings > Ecommerce section in your backoffice.
Do not forget to include your social networks so that your students can follow you and be up-to-date with all the news. It is as easy as accessing the Settings > Digital Marketing section in the backoffice of your training platform.
