Unlike forums, comments are not intended to engage other students, but to express opinion about the course. In fact, in the comments only the course teacher can reply to comments.
Reviews encourage other users to take the course, so we recommend having them always active. To do so, you just have to activate the "Comments" box in the course edition. In addition, you can choose if you want the comments of all the editions to appear or only that specific one. This is especially useful for courses where there are multiple teachers or where the content has been updated.
As a teacher or administrator of the platform it is important to respond to all comments, both positive and negative. In this way, you will demonstrate that your online school is an active platform, that you appreciate their opinions and that you are willing to improve the content of your courses.
There are two ways to reply to the comments of a course, one from the web and the other from the backoffice.
The course teacher can answer directly in the course file. To access your courses as a teacher you must go to "My account > My taught courses".
Administrators can respond on behalf of the teacher through the backoffice. Let's see how it works step by step.
Access "Daily management > Comments" to see the list of all the comments that have been published on the platform and the data. The first thing you will find is a summary with the most relevant data regarding the comments: total number, comments in the last month and today and the number of responses.
Below it, you will find the list of all the comments on the platform according to the user, the date, and the answers. You can also view comments for a specific course from the course's CRM.
To view a comment, click on the "View" option in the Actions column. From there you can also access the "Answer" option.
Once the message is ready, click on the "Reply" button to publish the message on the platform.
To view the response history for each comment, click on the "Replies" from the comments list. There you can edit or delete responses already created.
