How to use SCORM on Foxize Cloud?
Do you know SCORM? If you dedicate yourself to training, it is certain that you have come across this term more than once. From English, Sharable Content Object Reference Model, SCORM is a package that contains all the necessary information for a course (material, order, follow-up). Having the content packaged allows you to use the course on multiple platforms without the need to upload materials one by one.
Foxize Cloud allows the integration of SCORM materials after passing the trial period, this requires a Cloud Scorm contract and ad-hoc development.
In this guide we explain step by step how to prepare your Cloud Scorm for integration with Foxize Cloud.
Subscribe to a plan in Scorm Cloud
If you don't have a plan in SCORM Cloud yet, this is the time to do it.
Create a new account at https://cloud.scorm.com/sc/guest/SignInForm and choose one of their plans. There is a free plan (the trial) that allows up to 100Mb of storage and 10 active courses.
Activate the keys
Once the plan is contracted, you will be able to obtain some API Keys, the necessary ones so that we can integrate SCORM into your platform.
To obtain them, you must access the "Apps / API" section that you will find in the side menu.
We will find a series of Apps already created, or you can create a new one with a name. The first code we need for the integration is "AppId".
Clicking on "Details" in the app will take you to a new page where you will find the second key.
If you scroll on this new page, a window called "Authorization keys" will appear. If your account is new, you must click on the "Add key" button to create a new key. By giving it a name, it will automatically generate two keys. To integrate SCORM to Foxize Cloud we will need the "Secret Key".
Send the keys to support
These two keys (AppId and Secret Key) are necessary so that our technical team can do the integration. Email us to soporte@foxizecloud.com with the two keys so that we can finish the integration.
Once the integration is ready, a new type of material will appear for your SCORM courses, and you can now upload your zip packages.
