In order for users to be able to enjoy your courses, they will have to register to your training platform. In this post, we will share how the registrations fields work and how to personalize them.
On the "Registration field" section on your backoffice within "Settings", you'll be able to see a list with all the active, inactive, and mandatory fields.
The fields "Name", "Surname", "Email", "Password" and "Password verification" are essential for registration, so you won't be able to edit or delete them.
You can modify the order of each field by clicking on the cross and dragging to the desired position.
With the Foxize Cloud Advance plan you can also create your own custom field. To do this, click on the "Add more fields" button below the list. Let's see step by step how to do it.
First, you must give the field a name, a help text (explanation of that field, it will be shown inside the form box) and an error text (it will appear in red when the input text is wrong or was not filled in).
In addition, you must specify if it is a mandatory field or not. If you activate this option, the user will not be able to proceed with the registration without first filling in that field. They will appear with a red asterisk (*) next to the name.
There are 6 types of fields to fill in:
Text: to enter names, surnames ...
Numeric: to enter age, year ...
Alphanumeric: to enter addresses, ID, text in general.
Date: the user can enter the date directly in dd / mm / yyyy format, or select it from a calendar.
Dropdown: to select a country, city, ratings ...
Alternative: The user must select between one option or another.
Validator: detects whether the record matches a list of options that the administrator enters the backoffice. If it matches, it will allow registration. If it does not match, the error text appears.
To check how your school's registration page looks, you can access your frontend through the box icon located at the top of your training management platform.
In this section you can customize the fields related to cookie messages and the acceptance of legal policies. You can activate and deactivate which fields are visible to the user.
