Insert YouTube videos in your courses

Insert YouTube videos in your courses

Now in your online school you can insert videos from other platforms (such as YouTube or Vimeo) in your course materials through an embed code and without the need to upload the video to Foxize Cloud again.

Some websites that allow you to obtain the embed code:

  • YouTube

  • Vimeo

  • Dailymotion

  • TedTalk

The operation is simple. When uploading video material in your course, you will have to choose between how to upload the file: through a file on your computer or through an embed code.

Next, enter the embed code of the video you want to embed. Typically, this code is in the share/embed option.

On the course materials page, the video will appear embedded, with the interface of the source platform.

Keep in mind that these videos retain the same properties of the origin place, so if, for example, you have a video in private, users of your online school will not be able to see the video. You must put it in hidden or in public or give specific permissions to the URL of your platform.

If you want to use it to make webinars from YouTube Direct, remember also that the video will not be available until you are live. Only the video will appear in the materials and not the chat, so if your users want to participate in it, they must access the YouTube page.
